when i had my little girl my doc said the same to me and i had cramps and diorrah too. i went and asked my mum (she's a midwife) what he meant coz i was too embarrassed to ask. basically you re in the first stage of labore
this can usually be false laborer depends on how bad the cramps are (theyre a lot worse than period pains) what ever you do odnt use a hot water bottle to get rid of the cramps this makes it worse later on in ther labour.

Is this your first pregnancy? I know if you already had a baby you are already 1 to 2 cm dialated. This is because you don't close completly after your first birth. I don't think you have anything to worry about when it comes to those cramps you have been having. I had them from 36 weeks on. I am now almost 39 weeks and still have them off and on. The diarreah and vomiting may just be a touch of the flew.

You might be beginning labor, sometimes labor pains start off like menstrual cramps (labor is the worst menstrual cramps you can imagine X's 10) and with my son, I felt sick the night before I had him, had no appetite and just wanted to vomit, but I hadn't eaten anything so it wasn't coming out.

I did the same thing with my second son your body will sort of empty itself before you go into labor it could be early labor just take it kind of easy if it's labor you'll need lots of strength for the birth. If the cramps persist you can call your dr's office they can probably tell you more.

With my 3rd child I had the same symptoms. I went into labor at 3:30 a.m. and she was born at 8:15 am. Just be cautious..you never can predict the out come of when your baby will make his/her entrance.
