I cant get the seat off the &*($#%&^ thing to charge the battery. Any Ideas?

spend $20 thru E-bay,and buy a clymers service repair manual.That book will show you anything you can know about your bike....goodluck.?Have you pulled the side cover

Those seats are a pain in the rear to get off.
Push down on the front of the seat while you're turning the key counter clockwise - to open.
Try turning the key and keep pressure on it. Then slam down the front of the seat to release it from the latch.
Try pulling up the seat a little and turn the key.
Keep playing with it until you get the right procedure down.

I was working in a Honda shop when a guy brought one of those in for some work. I had to pull the seat and it was driving me crazy for awhile till I figuered out that you have to turn the ignition key, I can't remember if you have to turn it left or right, but, thats how they work the seat latch.

how did it get on in the first place? usually they are screwed on underneath or near the back fender. theres is no such word as "I CAN'T".
