The total mass is 4 kg

the friction force between the table and the blocks is

f=u mg
f=0,2 X 4X 9,8

since there is no acceleration we have

F-f=0
then
F=f= 7.84 N

and if enough force is applied, you will have a flat object. most likely some of it will ooze out the side. I guess i missed what your question was.////
