Believe me, none of the above will do a thing maybe even make matters worst. Sometimes the best thing to do is to just ignore them when they are being difficult. But no matter what, always let them know that you love them and are there for them through the good and the bad. And also try to remember when you were their age.

Take away their cellphone, mp3s, computer.. that will get their attention, guaranteed. But the 2X4 is way more fun.

Not a good idea. You would wind up in jail, and your teens would still be ignoring you. Best bet. Wait until they are 30 or so.
