if you are normally 28 days, you are 8 days early... it is not unheard of to be able to test this soon... whether you get an accurate read or not is another story... I would buy a test with two or three, if on sale... just to be sure... then if I am negative, I can retest closer to when I am due for my monthly... nothing worse than stressing and wondering if you are pregnant right before... then you may not get your monthly for just that reason.. and nothing to do with being pregnant.. you know... and one of the ones that are most sensitive....
if I can make it work.... going to put a link to a site with all the tests, accuracy and sensitivity on here...

thanks for listening
hope I was able to help out
good luck

You should really wait until the day your period is due otherwise if you test before and get a negative (even if you are pregnant and your hormone levels arent high enough yet), you are wasting money and will be disappointed as the result is not accurate. I dont mean to get your hopes up but you have exactly the same symptoms I had when I found out I was pregnant so Good Luck xx

If these symptoms are not symptoms you usually suffer with from PMT then you could be pregnant. Clear blue and first response both do tests which can be used up to 4 days before your expected period, the % of getting a positive result is lower than if you tested later but they are still sesitive enough to detect pregancy earlier in lots of women than other brands. Unfortunately eveyone is different, some women test & re-test for days after a missed period but fail to get a positive result even though they are pregnant, some test before their missed period and get a positive result! It all depends on the amount of pregnancy hormone one produces in their body & this differs between women.
Idealy buy a 2 test pack & use one on the day of your missed period, if it is neg but your period does not arrive wait a few days, to a week after your missed period & re-test. If at that point you still have no lucj but no period go to your doctor - they can carry out a blood test which can detect pregancy as early as a few days after conception. Good luck x

There is no point testing for at least 4 days. Then you could try an early result test, although these aren't actually very reliable if used early. You only have a 50% chance of getting a positive result, even if you are positive if you use them 4 days early.
Really it's best to wait until the day your period is due, as only then will you get accurate results.

Technically - you are supposed to wait until the first day of your missed period! However, there are several tests out on the market that can get SOME results up to 5 days before that.
I took an "early" test 4 days before the first day of my missed period - and it came back negative, however, I took one on the day I missed my period and the results were positive.
On the box of the "early" tests it will tell you that the accuracy can be as low as 50% 5 days before hand, and gradually get more accurate as the days pass! Good luck!

How soon can I test? Well, first you gotta know how the test works. Briefly: the home pregnancy test (HPT) works by detecting a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG.) When an egg is fertilized, it takes about 6 to 12 days to implant in the uterus, and then it begins to secrete hCG. It takes another day or two for enough hCG to build up and make its way into your pee. So, generally speaking, the earliest you can expect a positive HPT is 8 days past ovulation ("DPO") and the latest would be about 16 DPO. It is possible to get a positive test earlier or later, but not as common. In my experience, if you use a sensitive "early" test (anything that detects 25 mIU/mL of hCG or less) you can test around 12-14 DPO and feel reasonably secure with your results (the later you test, the more secure you can feel in its accuracy.)
If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

Dont test nw it will just say "negitive". You can do it from 4 days before but the test is much more acurate from the first day you have missed it.
Wait a week then do it. Good luck

it could just be the up coming cycle.....i would wait until you have missed your period.....maybe 4 to 5 days late thats when the HCG level would be most accurate......if you want to test before then try the first response they say they can detect the HCG level five days before you miss your period....but i would wait good luck
