Why do some women take things so personally?

Is it because women are more sensitive than men?
Is it a hormonal thing?

Or do some think the world revolves around them and therefore everything must personally have to do with them?

See you knew the answer to your own question! lol It all depends on the woman, but yeah...sometimes it's hormonal and things are taken wrong by us. Sometimes we are just more sensitive and there are people who do believe the world revolves around them! I think if someone takes something personally ALL the time, it's the revolving world...if it's here and there, it was just the wrong time for the comment. But most of us will suck it up and get over it...we know when we are over-sensitive to stuff. The really sensitive ones, may have something from the past that the comment triggers you never know. Just talk to the person and if it's a sensitive subject for them, you may just want to be careful about how you say things dealing with that particular subject.

It's a hormonal thing. When a man drops a pebble, it hits a woman like a boulder. Some men are just as sensitive. Some women are just as hard as men. It depends on how one's raised too, I think. Ask Dr. Phill or read the book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus"

Women are sensitive beings. Men should recognize that about us now. Why have men become so stubborn that they won't feed a woman's emotions? I need to have my emotions fed the same as a man needs to have his ego charged! We women don't think the world revolves around us, we just know that we make the world go 'round!

Because women are emotional creatures. Sometimes personalities clash when you're not on the same wave length. This is really too broad a question...mostly women take things personally because they are insecure about themselves or they may not like to deal with the truth...it hurts. Men have a tendency to be more analytical and perceive things totally different. Women need nurturing so they can feel secure about who they are.

It is hard to say...as everyone is their own person. Everyone has their own unique personalities. So, you cannot say all women are this or that....it is being completely stereotypical. Insert the word people for women in your question as it has nothing to do with gender. People who are self-centered feel that all comments/actions must be directed at them or about them. They are not capable of thinking much beyond themselves. This is a sign of immaturity.

Now, if you know what you said was unthoughtful then you may want to think about what you are saying. Men and women think differently - neither one is wrong - just different. It helps both sexes out when they keep that in mind when they are communicating.

Most women are very self obsorbed and disturbed. How anyone can possibly think Hillary could be president is absolutely nuts. The worst thing mankind ever did was educate annd clothe women. They were here for our sexual pleasure, nothing else. Now look at the mess we are in. *Sarcasm*

Sometimes. It really depends on her. I think that a woman is usually like that because they might have the attitude that the world revolves around them.
