You can always stop taking if that happens. It depends on the individual just because it happens to some people dont mean it will happen yo you. With my pill my breasts got larger. Went up a cup size.

I have been taking Microgynon for about 2 years now and I have had no problems at all on it. All my friends are on it as well and we all like it. It can be individual what your body reacts to but if you do feel bad on it go see your GP and they will change you to another perscription.
I was on a different pill a few years back that made me put on a lot of weight but Microgynon is supposed to be the pill with the least sympthoms hence why it tends to be the GP's first choice when giving you a perscription for the pill so you should be safe. Just make sure you follow the instructions.

This is one of the older pills on the market, described as second generation. This group has stood the test of time, in fact there is some evidence that they are safer than third generation pills, which might cause more clots.
Your question sounds as if you wrote it while a little anxious and excitable, but I will try and pick up on the points you made.
Neither fluid retention, nor weight gain appear on the data sheet for microgynon. There occurrence on it therefore must be very rare.
If you start your first pill on the first day of your period you contraceptive cover starts at once. You then take your pill for 21 days, miss the next 7 days and then start again. It is worth noting that you are also protected against pregnancy on the pill free days.

I have been on the pill Microgynon and every thing was fine for me, I never noticed putting on any weight down to the pill, all pills have side effects there is a hole list of them, there is a pill im on at the moment that says it gives u a bigger appetite, if u stick to what u normally eat things should be fine.

Microgynon doesnt actually make you put on weight all by itself, it gives you a bigger appetite that normal, so you end up putting on weight just by eating more.
If you're worried though just when you get the urge to snack, snack on fruit or something like that.
Also, a good pill for not putting on weight is Femodene. Its got less of whatever hormone it is in Microgynon that makes you want to pig out. However, my doctor made me sign a piece of paper because 3 out of every million women just randomly die from taking it (as opposed to 2 in every million with Microgynon)

Everyone reacts differently to different pills so all you can do is try it and see how it suits you. The only thing I can say about microgynon is my mum had no problems when she was on it way back when, (it's one of the older brands) but I had very sore breasts when I was on it and so did one of my friends. Just see how your body reacts to it and if you have any problems your doctor should change you onto another brand.

Everyone is different I was told by the nurse that the pill orany other hormone contraceptive can or may increase your appetite it is up to you if you eat more.
Some find the pill does not make any diffrence to weight so it is trial and error with anything.
Daughter takes it and has been for one year no problems

I used to take that but had to change becasue of bloo dpressure, you may put on a litle weight but you do with all Pills. My docotor told me that if you do put on weight then it will only bea couple of pounds. Just watch what you eat over the next month or so and you should be fine. It really just depends on each person.

i used to take microgynon 30 and had no side effects whatsoever. i really think it does depend on you personally though. we're all different so medications will react to us differently.
all you can do is try it and see what happens. there are dozens of different contraception pills so you may just have to try a few to find one that suits you.
