I was just told to add 1 cup of vinegar to the water and it brings back the shine.

For cleaning it use 1 cup of vinegar in warm water, wring the rag/mop out thoroughly so you are not soaking the floor. To give it a nice sheen, Murphy's Oil Soap will work, but be careful, laminate floors can be terribly slippery.

Yes there is a better way to clean and polish laminate flooring, I use Baby shampoo and White Vinegar to both clean and polish, you first measure about half cup of baby shampoo to a 3/4 full bucket of warm water, then pour a 3/4 cup of White Vinegar to your rinse water, this will clean and shine your floor without waxing and is very economical and inexpensive, vinegar will clean off the residue left by cleaners and leave it disinfected and tthere is no chemical smell left by vinegar and your house will smell clean and fresh using this to clean your floor. Good Luck !

I go to my local home center and purchase Amtico Floor finish for linoleum. I clean the floor with ammonia in hot water and then use a wax applicator (stick with a pad) and apply the Amtico-one direction only! Comes out like brand new and last quite a long time!

Murphy's Oil Soap...it's meant to be used on wood, and gives a great shine. Smells really nice too.
