people use numbing stuff when they get a tattoo or piercing? It's like they defeat the whole purpose that its supposed to hurt. Its just pathetic.

When I got my nose pierced she put some numbing gel inside. I didn't ask for it, just she just sort of did it. I didn't notice a difference, it still stung.
But I didn't get any when I got a tattoo and won't have any when I get my next tattoo either. I agree, the pain is part and parcel with the experience.

The point of a tattoo or piercing isn't so you can feel pain. If you wanted that you could hire a dominatrix for around the same price, but when you're done you don't get any cool art on your body.

its hardly defeating the purpose is it??? the purpose of having a piercing or tattoo is the piercing or tattoo, not to feel the discomfort, neither are as sore a people expect, its the fear of the unknown that make them do it,

I didnt even know they had numbing stuff when getting pierced or tattooed,,but shoot,if someone wants numbing,then why not!

I don't think the goal of tatooing is pain. The goal is the art that remains. If you wanted pain, you would cut yourself, not pay 200 dollars or more for a tattoo.

Yeah, i agreee, I have ten tattoos and I've never taken anything for the pain. Artists don't want you to anyway because its thins the blood to much.
