For women, sex and emotion are a lot more closely related than for men. IN GENERAL. If, as you say, you're having problems in your marriage, she may not feel emotionally secure to have sex with you, or to relax enough to climax. She still has needs, so it's less emotionally confusing for her to masturbate.

As for lying about it, well, particularly for women, it's an embarrassing subject. It's entirely possible that she's not being devious about it or even deliberately deceptive--it's just intensely uncomfortable to admit to. Even nowadays, there's a perception that "good girls" don't masturbate.

Try to talk it out, and if you can, keep the sex issue separate from the other issues that might be bothering the two of you. Be honest and explain that you need the physical intimacy. She probably does, too, but emotions get in the way. A good tactic is a long (possibly tearful, possibly LOUD!) heart-to-heart, followed by the ever-favorite make-up sex.

I don't think from your question that you would, but don't expect her to completely stop masturbating once your sex life returns to normal. Sometimes a little self-help is all you want or have time for.

If you are both masturbating together, well that`s alright. But if she does it alone, ( all the time), without giving you gratification then you may need to sex a sex therapists. I think you need a little "loving" to, she needs to acknowledge this...

What's the big deal??? Maybe she wants to have an orgasm... did you think about that?

She is just in touch with her OWN sexuality.
