Flasher bulbs are just regular bulbs. The flasher is a separate unit, usually attached to the fuse panel. If the light doesn't work at all, simply replace the bulb - they're cheap, and any auto parts store can look up the correct one for you. If the light goes on, but doesn't flash - it's the flasher unit. A good auto parts store should also be able to supply this part for you - and many will install it for you while you wait, if it's not a big job, and if they aren't too busy. At the very least, you could sk the technician where it goes and how to change it yourself.

Good luck!

More than likely it's your bulb. Since you didn't specify which one it was, I can't tell you how to do it yourself or have a friend do it. Since bulbs aren't warranty items if you take it to a dealership you labor cost ($50-$60 per mechanical hour) will probably be higher than the local corner mechanic($30 - $50), but the bulb is usually less than a couple of bucks at the auto parts store.

If they work only sometimes it is not the bulb. The bulb is either good or bad , no in between. You could have a loose connection due to corrosion. According to who you pick, it could be up to $100.00 or so if they have to do trouble shooting. If they find it quick, 25 to 35 bucks. Some cars have 36,000 or 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. Check it out before you pay to have it fixed.

thats what flashers are suppose to do. Come on - go off- come on - go off. LOL jk

You have a fuse just for the flashers in your fuse box. It's the big round one (usually blue)
They are not expensive at all.
