I graduated last yr and started my first job in September. I don't like my job too much and it is not related to what I studied in school and I have to work long hours and I am underpaid. I want to leave this job and get a better paying job in the field that I have my degree in. The problem is that I am getting married next year and will have to move to where my fiance is, he is a med student and will not know where his residency is until later on. If I leave this job soon, I will most likely be at my next job for even less time. Should I still grin and bear it at this job until next year or should I start looking for another job.

Grin and bear it so that your resume shows stability. Tell yourself that its only for a few more months.

Try to plan things to look forward to after work and on the weekends. It will make your job more bearable.

I would grin and bear it unless you are facing something really obscene, like a boss that harasses you sexually , for instance. Generally speaking, you want to stay in a job for at least two years. And eventually, you want to find a place where you might stay seven or eight years. There aren't hard and fast rules here, but what you don't want to be is 20 years into a career and having to explain to people why you have had ten jobs in those 20 years.

Start looking for another job in your field of study, that way when you do move you can have experience to put down on a resume that will make it easier to find another job, AND you never know finding a new job where you are at now might help you to get one somewhere else, later.

Try to stick out the job for at least 6 months. Job hunt before you leave and have a replacement. Give them a polite 2 week notice, and thank them for letting you work there. Now you can use this job as experience.

Well this is a tough question but I think I can answer it. Hm mm. well what I would do is stay there until you get married that way you will have money and be able ro switch jobs without having a bad reputation. If this doesnt work for you dont try it.

It is okay to quit your job after one year. This way you can put it on your resume as gaining experience rather than I quit too early. One year makes it seem as if you gained experience and now you are advancing
