I've seen a 0 go back to "normal" size. When you're ready to shrink back, just go get some Preperation H and use it on your ears. It took mine back to an 18 in about a week.

DO NOT GO ANY BIGGER THAN A 2!! Once you get to a 2 it will close but it takes a long time, I was a 2 and I took them out a year ago and they are still 12's. Anything under a 2 will heal up within a few days or a week of taking them out, but once you get to a 2 it's over a year and once you gauge to 0 they won't go back at all. Hope that helps!! Plus as gross as it is 4 and anything bigger makes a really gross smelling gunk it is your body's natural lubricant to prevent your ears from ripping, however no matter how much you clean it, it always comes back until your ears go back to a normal size. My advice is to go no bigger than a 4 cuz you don't get much of the smelly gunk and you can always go right back to the size you were before you guaged, plus they have some nice plugs and things for 4's. Good Luck!!

Anything usualy within a guage (ending at double 0) should close up... It also depends on how long in between stretches. The quicker you stretch the less likely it will heal properly. I started out at a 4 guage, stretched to a double 0 and then to 7/16th inch and then to half inch within a period of 1 year or so.....i took my flesh tunnels out last year and they have closed up to and remain about the size of a 2 guage. I had my piercings in since 1997 so time is also a factor. Skin will lose its elasticity after time because the hole has become a scar essentialy.

9mm

You go any bigger and the chances of it going back to normal are very slim.
A gauged ear will always shrink as soon as jewellery is removed...however for it to got back to the 'normal' size is unlikely after a 10mm stretch has taken place.
