I personally think the three some (Hamster, Clarkson & May) on Top Gear is brilliant but there are always many opinions shared about people's dislike of Clarkson.

Now before everyone writes back 'because hes up his own ar$e' or 'because hes a tw@t' I don't want to hear that I want actual reasons and evidence to prove what your saying, because if you actually give him the time of day and watch him on Top Gear he is a very funny and clever man.

So opinions please........................

Since when has someone being opinionated made them a to$$er?
If so then everybody who has ever answered a question on Yahoo answers must be one !!!

What about The Hamster and May they work on Top Gear and have their own newspaper articles. I just don't think that someone being opinionated is enough reason for everybody to think hes a pr!ck.

you should purchase his book,'And another thing..the world acording to jeremy clarkson'.You will not read anything funnier all year.he writes exactly how he speaks on tv

I find his quick wit hilarious but of course in our society where people get offended by the smallest things, some people will hate him

apparently clarkson upset the brain-injury charity by calling the Hamster, a mental case.
he apologised 4 offending people & i thought that was the end of that, but it's still upsetting when an intelligent man like clarkson picks on any1.
he thinks he's funny & entertaining,
& most of the time, i'd agree but he can b tactless & insensitive, occasionally.
which is no more or less, than ur average joe from a small section of society.
every1 knows a Clackson.

Sometimes there are people you take an instant disliking to and for me he's one of them. Everyone sees people differently. You might say he has confidence, I interpret it as arrogance. You might find him funny, I find him predictable. It's ok not to like someone! Besides, he was awful on Room 101, where he wasn't following a script.
I don't wish bad things for him, but give me marmite any day!

His "job" is to test drive very expensive cars, and perform all sorts of fun adventures and stunts for Top Gear and write a journalist column..........and for this he gets paid a fortune.......while we have to slave away 7 hours a day while sitting at a desk.......Of course people are going to resent him

He is also VERY opinionated.

Personally, I like him and enjoy the banter in Top Gear.....I am not interested in cars but I love Top Gear and think they are all very funny.

He was born and bred in south yorkshire, and he has turned his back on his roots, and was slagging his home town and the people who still live there. He is Pompous and he shouldnot have said these things,it's not very nice to slag off the place you where brought up in. Just because he's made money and a name for himself, he thinks he is clever, and he is just a bigheaded nobody in my eyes. I live in South Yorkshire, and I LOVE Marmite.

He IS very outspoken, but I think in many cases his reputation precedes him. (nearly all the controversial Top Gear stuff has been based on his comments)

Think he may have lost a few fans based on his column this week though!

He's not like Marmite! Marmite is tasty, nourishing and worth every penny. But he is tasteless, as informative and entertaining as John Prescott speaking to a dieting class, and not worth the millions the BBC is paying him. So, please apologise to Marmite.

I really like him, and you should read his book, like the other guy said, I think he is sometimes portrayed as a racist and biggot, which I don't think he is, but I heard he supported the BNP, this could just be rumours.

Some say he eats kids for breakfast, and he uses super-lube on his pubes. All we know is......... he's The Clarkson!
