I forwarded that You Tube clip to EVERYONE I could think of! Thank YOU!

WMD's did not become part of the American vernacular until after 9/11 (unfortunately). Had WMD's and the nuclear threat of rogue states become a daily talking point during the Clinton administration, I personally believe that 9/11 may have been thwarted and this war we are now in may have never come to fruition. Would of's, could of's and should of's aside.....I believe that President Bush has been steadfast in his decisions to keep our country and countrymen safe and protected and I absolutely, without any equivocation support our troops!

Again, thank you for sharing the video clip. I forwarded it to ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN....do you think it will run on a prime time news show? Yeah, I'm LMAO too! God bless the USA and our troops....the bravest, most admirable troops in the world!

Yes, I'm sure they were worried about Saddam's war mongering ways, and his craving for war weapons. They really wanted to get the whole world involved in bringing Saddam down at the time, and if Mondale had been elected in 2000 that's probably what would have happened. Sure many Dems went along with Bush's exaggerated fears of Iraq's WMD. The bottom line is that are troops had routed the Taliban in Afghanistan and were busy rounding up our real enemy the terrorists in the hills and mountains, while the UN had our back covered with it's inspectors in Iraq. Most of the world was sympathetic to our cause. That all changed when at Dumb, Dumbs insistence we invaded Iraq. We then lost a strong foot hold in Afghanistan. The Taliban is now returning while most of out troops are tied up in Iraq.

Of course they did, most of the world thought Iraq had WMDs prior to the election of George Bush. Here's the difference:
Clinton adopted a policy of containment. He chose to do so until both the U.N. and the U.S. had a clearer idea of what was happening in Iraq. Bush didn't bother with such details, and was only aggravated by the U.N. trying to interfere. He was hellbent on going into Iraq no matter what. Iffy intelligence? No problem, we'll spin it. 9/11? Horrible and no connection to Hussein, but we'll use it. After going in, Bush discovered the truth. The containment policy had been working - whoops, his bad. Then it got spun to being all about freeing those poor Iraqis from the grip of Saddam Hussein. Clinton held his water, rightly as we can all see from our armchair quarterback position. Bush made a huge mistake, and we all continue to pay for it today as the terrorists enjoy a new resurgence and thousands of new recruits.

previously the invasion, sure, i presumed they had WMD, yet i did no longer have faith we had sturdy information. I remember while Powell replaced into offering his argument, even he known like he did no longer have faith what he replaced into asserting. An AMerican woman replaced into taken POW and that's while i found out that there may well be no WMD's because of the fact the president and the whole group have been so difficult and strong on protecting her. yet while different communities caputred human beings, no such difficult talk. i found out that our leaders in basic terms talked difficult while they knew they may well be secure. We in basic terms noted as out WMD and attacked Iraq because of the fact we knew there have been none and that we could get in devoid of dropping lives to WMD.

Of course they believed it, and said so publicly, along with many Democrats as well as Republicans. Unfortunately, they didn't do a thing to control Saddam except do some fly-overs, so for the whole eight years of the Clinton regime, no one knew the facts.

When you guys understand that it doesn't matter! Bush made the decision to go into Iraq based on intelligence he was given in 2002, a year and a half after Clinton left office. What Clinton knew or didn't know, believed or didn't believe was irrelevant by then.
What you're saying when you ask a question like this is that Bush wasn't thinking for himself, that he was doing what he thought Clinton would do.

Yes they thought this. Even Saddam's top generals were under the impression that they had them at their disposal as long as Saddam made the world believe this because it gave him leverage over Iran.
Now Iran Who is on the verge of bankruptcy because it cost them 10 time the amount of money to produce the same barrel of oil the Saudis and Kuwaiti's do they are attempting to gain nuclear power. This is their only option to attain the throne of the entire Middle East and therefore OPEC. The Bush administration is systematically bankrupting the Iranian government with the help of the rest of OPEC members because not only is Iran a threat to the US with nukes it is a threat to all OPEC nations. This is why unilateral talks with Iran is out of the question....it would only buy them time.

Yes they thought he had WMD's, but they did not go to war with him based on that fact. If you want to point the finger even further, why didn't Bush Sr. finish off Saddam when he had the chance? See, we can both play that game.

We've heard about the WMD all through the Clinton administration. If he hadn't have been so locked down by his own personal problems and lawsuit for rape etc....he would have gone into Iraq himself. Since he didn't have the credibility, he didn't. It amazes me the number of people who have selectively forgot this.
