OK, first, you need to realize that this will come as a shock to the clock, so you must be gentle with it. Are you sure that the clock is old enough for this conversation? I mean, it could upset the poor thing.
Anyway, then you set it down and try to explain that, while the president is not really an evil person (it is important for all applicances to have respect for elected officials), he had decided that it would be to the countrys advantage to move the date when Daylight Savings Time begins and ends.
Then, your clock will tell you that, as a time keeping device, it is very familer with history and how the governemtn was formed and that it is not in the power of the executive brance to do that, it would have to be congress that changes the dates, and it, by being a device that keeps track of current events, it is well aware of the fact that the dates were changed, but since it knows history, it is a conservative, and refuses to go along with a democratally controlled congress.
About that time you have three choices:
1. Get a hammer and beat the hell out of the darn thing.
B. Wait untill the clock automatically checks the time and reset's itself.
III. Remove the batteries and force it to reset itself.
4. There is no four.
Anyway, that is one possible way it could happen.
