Talk about how peoples beliefs are driven by paradigm, and how philosophy helps people broaden their horizons and expand beyond the limitations that paradigms impose on us.

i think you should answer the answerer thus;
That philosophy is now an academic subject and as such
is mainly but not exclusively the study of history;to be more
precise, the study of the usual comments of scholars, and
so-called scholars-im thinking of Hegal and wittgenstein
amoungst others.
Be aware though that if ur teacher(s)
are fans or adherents of "the fly" wittgenstein-who was and
could still be the current "sage"! - then you will be marked
down(its a hard life,even in academia).
And the above now
includes complex maths and logic, even a higher math logic
which can be here called mataphysics. If you want to know
more about that, read and study the modern beginings from
the Polish School at the begining of the last century.
Finally, if you need expert help then get hold of and read
Sir karl Popper's book In search of a better world.Or any of
his later properly critical work.

Well, psychology started out as a branch of philosophy and now look at it. Psychology is one of the leading sciences with studies in Learning, Child Development, Neuropsychology and other fields that have helped to improve life and understanding human behavior as well as biological functions of the human body and brain.
If it wasn't for philosophy poses the questions of what makes us human the first psychologists would not have postulated their questions and formed experiments to resolve these questions.

Simply tell how philosophy influences you. It is the only point that you can speak on with certain knowledge.

broadly speaking,
if you come to believe something you try to live your life accordingly -- some people actually make decisions that affect the rest of their lives, on the basis what a certain philosophy preaches. had they believed a different philosophy, they would have chosen differently and their lives would have been radically different.

You can narrow your subject by selecting a philosophical theme, and how others have interpreted, or misinterpreted, the philosopher's point of view.
