loosing the mucus plug is fine, but bleeding isn't normal I would call your doctor to get her checked. Don't worry she will have the baby soon.

Call the doc because you are not suppose to bleed when you lose your plug. Or is it the plug still coming out? IF not then give the doc a ring and they will more then likely want to check her and make sure everything is okay. If it is like spotting then her cervix may just be agitated but if it is more then spotting then it could mean trouble. To be on the safe side call the doc.

Now on the subject when the baby will come that is all up to the baby. If this is her first pregnancy then possibly up to two more weeks, if not then it could be soon but these are just averages. I know the feeling of wanting it to all be over with I am 38 weeks prego with number two.

Call the doctor. It is possible to lose your mucus plug and walk around for days or even weeks before labor begins. However, the bleeding would be reason to call the doctor. I haven't ever heard of anyone bleeding for days after they lost their plug. Now that doesn't mean it isn't okay, but I would call the doctor just to certain everything is normal.

Delivery must be close-congratulations!

I would check with your Dr. I lost my mucus plug and did not deliver until a week later however, there was no additional bleeding. Give the Dr. a call just to check. Good Luck!

Losing the plug is one thing, continuing to bleed is something entirely different. You need to make a trip to the hospital or get the OB on the phone. Good luck!

The bleeding is definately cause for concern....she should call her OB/GYN now and get in to see them immediately. It could be absolutely nothing but I have never heard of someone bleeding for 5 days after losing their mucous plug.

You need to take her to the hospital NOW!!! With my first child,my water broke on a wed. and I didn't go to the doctor until my next appointment (mon). I was only 16 at the time, I didn't realize the risk of infection I caused my unborn child. Go now!!
