I did get to see the new "300" movie on Saturday and I must say I was sadly disappointed. The special effects exaggerated everything to the ridiculous. "The original 300 Spartans" was a much better movie.

I am curious though, if George W. Bush was the King of Sparta when the Persian Empire (which is now Iran) attacked, and the “Democratic Greeks” in Congress cut the funds for the war and would not let the troops go to Thermopylae, would George W. Bush have bravely taken his 300 personal bodyguards and saved the democracy, or would we all be speaking Persian now?

If Bush had to invade ancient Sparta, the USA would have a problem.

The last time we fought peasants with ancient weapons was in Vietnam. That wasn't exactly successful.

I actually liked that movie. The women helped, but it was a good movie. Bush would be the scummy politician would not go and try to bribe his way into power. Hey, did he not do that in real life?
