Don't worry, it's normal. In a few weeks you'll wish she'd slow down a little so you can sleep. When your active they sleep. When you try to rest then they come alive! I always drank a glass of ice cold water and then laid on my back on a hard surface and sometimes he would move for me. I never counted kicks. The last week he was very still, sleeping and saving energy for the big day.

I don't know how long you have been able to feel her to start with. I know that I'm 23 weeks and if I didn't feel him a couple times during the day I would be worried but that's only because I've been feeling him since like week 15. However if you just started noticing the movements I wouldn't be worried. Some days they are just a little more quiet than other. It's probably different with everyone but I find my little one moving alot more if I drink a sugary fruit drink or some pop. I know alot of caffine isn't good but it's okay in moderation which get the little one moving. She should response to light too, but I don't know if that will necessarily get a reaction out of her.
Anyways I wouldn't be worried I'm sure she's just sleeping, they like to do that alot. :)

I've had the same problem before. Take some time out and relax, try a bath. Also I went up the hospital and they put me on a monitor after getting me to drink a ice cold drink of water and it did work. Or try a glass of milk. It's around 28 weeks you that to start making sure you have at least 10 movements but some days it varies when I feel baby move. Hope this helps you.!!!!!!!!!

well if you are really worried. Call your. dr. and have him/her give you an ultrasound to be sure the baby is fine.
My son is always kicking now (28 weeks) but he wasn't kicking until at least 21 weeks full force. I have noticed that when I eat a double chocolate chips cookie or 3 right afterwards the baby starts moving around like crazy. Soo...why don't you try somehting like chocolate?
Good Luck to you

I'll be 20 weeks this week. I'm so glad you asked this question. I've been feeling a little poke here and there now for the past 3 weeks. On Wednesday and Thursday I didn't feel any poking at all....I was scared to death. Then on Friday out of the blue while driving...poke poke poke. I smiled and kept on driving. I've noticed now that after I eat a meal, I'll lay down on the recliner and just relax and that's when I feel him/her poking around. I guess it's just that we're to busy throughout the day...but when we do get to relax (not often) and concentrate on our little one...we'll feel our little ones.

Just push done on your stomach with the flats of your hands. Not just a simple push but firm enough like the doctors do when they check your uterus for growth size at your checkups. You're right she is still small but you might get the baby to move. I use to do it when I was pregnant but usually I was further along. As for counting kicks I don't remember about that.

Drink a glass of orange juice, then try to relax for about 20 minutes. When you are very active throughout the day it is like a rocking motion for the baby so they are very content .At night drink the oj and lay on your back for about 20 minutes.

When I was pregnant my babies loved it when I was in the bath, maybe try that. If you are worried you really must see your midwife to put your mind at rest, otherwise you are going to make yourself ill with worry. I am sure that once the widwife has reasured you you will feel 100% better. Good luck with everything.

sit down for an hour with your feet propped up and see if she moves. if she doesn't, drink an ice cold glass of water and sit down with your feet propped up for another hour. if you don't feel anything, you need to call your doctor.
