Thanks for all your great answers guys, unfortunately, I don't think it's a specific PC thing, as i've used more than one PC. I type in a search term, and a page attempts to load, before being hijacked and you're sent to a very dodgy site.
Any help in this would be greatly appreciated

you need to run spyware software on these computers. Try installing lavasofts Ad-Aware and Search & Destroys Spy bot. They are both free and you get free updates.

sounds like spyware get an anti spyware and run it with your computer in safe mode
