i have tried to reinstal the drivers but in vain.my computer cannot detect it. ive also tried to swap data cables but in vain.help me guys.any ideal is welcomed.tks in advance

Agree with the above person to obviously check the power. If it is powered when you turn it on do here it initializing such as the carriage or gears moving? Can you form feed a page? ( a button that looks like a piece of paper) Check your computer's device manager to make sure everything is working (right click my computer, click hardware tab, click device manager) If there are any exclamation points try and resolve them by downloading or reinstalling that devices driver.
Epson is known to have printheads fail, if it prints or act like it prints but the pages are blank then you may want to try some cleaning cartridges you can search for those on the internet.

Many printers need a power supply. Sometimes there is a place for a power cord to the wall outlet, but often there is a small round socket for a cord from an external transformer. Check that you have power and press the ON button if there is one.
Download the owners manual from Epson and read it.
