I was on 5 days of antibiotics (bactrim) for a mild infection and the condom broke. It happened just this past Friday and my period is due Tuesday/Wednesday of this week. What is the liklihood of my BC pill failing? Should I get the morning after pill just in case? Thanks!

Anti-biotics interfere with the absorbtion of the BC pill. So you were right in using a backup method.
Sadly the morning after pill needs to be taken "the morning after" so it is all up to fate now.

No it wont be secure to no longer use an option style of beginning administration. Antibiotics makes the beginning administration non-efficient you ought to be off the antibiotics for a pair weeks in the past beginning administration pills become efficient returned. It takes some weeks for them to become efficient first of all and once you end and restart them its a similar theory. As on your era and monitoring your ovulation dates. Assuming you have huge-unfold sessions, you're maximum fertile 5 days a month those 5 days are 14-19 days following the 1st day of your era yet isn't a precise technology. that's an afternoon in the past or an afternoon after those 5 days. this is definitely the only thank you to hint whether or no longer its secure to no longer use something, additionally many times happening using fact the "rythem approach", its very unreliable. varieties different than a condom (which inserts the final FYI) are Diaphragm & foam sponge that are in lots of cases inserted incorrect and would effect in being pregnant. Your first time should not be as soft as you think of. maximum females persons adventure soreness their first time for the reason that maximum often their hymen isn't broke and the muscle tissues down there are no longer used to the contracting. As for a condom particular, its the main precious type outdoors of the beginning administration pill even though it additionally can tear. employing a condom would not make it "much less appropriate" there relatively isn't any distinction in "feeling" with or and not employing a condom. this is a delusion. there is this too, once you're a virgin, you will not be attentive to the version between the way it felt with or and not employing a condom.

Well, you can't assume that the bc pill was effective. Antibiotics pretty well compromise their efficacy. But I don't think you need to worry. This close to the end of your cycle, you're not likely to be fertile.

If this happened on Friday, and now it's Monday, then it's too late for the morning after pill anyway.

My mom got pregnant with my brother due to taking antibiotics while on the pill. However, it sounds like you were past your fertile time anyway being that your period is due at the beginning of this week. If you're on antibiotics again be sure to use a condom as well if you don't want to be pregnant.
