I was walking home from a lecture this morning and saw a guy a couple of years younger than me (a well-known thug in the area) crouched below a fence bordering some waste ground near my house. I thought he was using drugs as he was laughing quietly to himself, but when I leaned in I saw he was holding a small stray cat in his arms (another well-known face on our street...we all feed him and have called him Spanky, as he has a white patch on his bum).
This yob was holding the cat still while he applied a cigarette lighter to it's feet, laughing to himself.
Now I freely admit that I'm not perfect- I drink, smoke sometimes and get in to fights- but when I saw this I just flipped, snatching Spanky away and kicking the guy straight in the face. I saw some teeth fly and he ran away bleeding. I know he isn't going to squeal as nobody likes him, and the police have no time for him. But I felt justice for such a horrid crime had to taken there and then, and passion got a hold of me.

My friend has taken Spanky to the vets, and I know no action will be taken against me as the guy doesn't know who I am or where I live; nobody has time for him anyway as he's a real troublemaker.
Should I just leave it, or report my actions to the police? Truthfully, I'd do it all over again.

You should report nothing. You did the right thing. Too many little sh^ts enjoy bullying animals and vulnerable people. I'm surprised he didn't thank you for participating in his pastime of hurting others - a thing he was clearly enjoying until he met his match. All too often these cowards hide behind laws that often protect them. Well fcuk the law. As humans we have a duty to our conscience. Well done. Next time kill the fu^cker. Why should the Nhs have to waste money on such scum?. LONG LIVE THE PASSION!!!!!

Personally, I would be inclined to make a statement to the Police then if he does make a complaint at least you got in first. But good for you, I would have done the same thing. Hope spanky is OK.

Maybe you can get a pal to adopt the cat?
As for the scumbag that you beat...yes, morally it was wrong but I think just about anyone would tell you that they understand your actions and applaud them.
Personally, I would have done the same thing..or taken a bat to the piece of sh*t. This dirtbag is probably on the way to being a serial killer. Maybe he'll think twice before he harms another living thing. Not because of any remorse...but because someone might beat the ever lovin' crap out of him.

The animals are overwhelmed using fact they are no longer shifting straight away sufficient. if so, the animals are probably already injured in some way, so whipping an injured animal probably won't make it go faster, even though it could fall. They positioned the animals in small areas to maintain money. in case you have been in that place and worried purely approximately money, might you like a collection of extensive cages, or a collection of small cages(and positioned extra effective than one animal in each)? i do no longer think of that there is relatively any amusement. this is relatively purely a money element. extra animals equals extra money, injured or no longer. in case you rather choose to do something, touch the employer that regulates the medical care of dairy/meat animals.

You were certainly right to rescue the animal. I am glad to hear that you were able to do so. My concern is for the deviant who did this to the cat. He definitely needs mental counseling of some sort. One of a serial killers early warning signs is torture of small animals. Definitely report the incident to the police so charges can be brought against him, and he might accidentally get some mental counseling. You may be saving someone's life.
Good going. Well done.

Well done sir. If I was there I would have put the boot in myself, or at least held the b astard for you. He deserved what he got and more. Calling the police would have done no good. They wouldn't bother theirselves over a kitten. Hopefully this coward will think twice next time he tries to get his jollies torturing e defenceless animal

I didn't read the whole story ,can't seem to stomach things like that ,but you do what you think you should do.I used to work at an animal hosp.seen to much.I started hating people and wanted to do pay back ,that's not me .I'm a giver and a carer ,those people will not ,will not turn me into them.Call the police ,call the S.P.C.A, call the news paper ,give them the story ,whats the guy going to do sue you for telling the truth ,let other people know about him ,just like what they 're trying to do with child molesters

I applaud your actions, and would have done the same thing. If your conscience is bothering you (and in this case, I don't think it should), you can turn yourself in to the police, but I don't think they'll prosecute you. If that does happen, I'll be happy to donate money towards your bail and defense. I wish more people were more like you.
