i don't know what it was...maybe an illusion/imagination...i was 11ish lying in bed unable to fall asleep(i have problems with this. I was looking around my room(mind you i was awake..i really don't think i was dreaming) i looked at my closet and I saw something really dark hover over me.
i screamed really loud covered my eyes adn rolled off my bed crouching in fear. My mom and dad woke up and wen tot see if i was alright. I felt ridiculous telling them what i saw so i just said that i had a nightmare.
I don't know what the hell made me scream so much.

To me the word phantom is just another name for ghost, and yes I know ghosts are real. I have seen a couple and had other experiences with them.

I think that they are ghost.
I have seen some and i have had a creepy experence at my aunts funeral. Sprits can't hurt you.
They can scare you...here is my story, i was alone in the church where my aunt had her funaral, my family was outside the church. And my dead aunt was a girl scout leader.
I heard my dead aunt talking and little girls laughing and giggling.
I looked outside and nobody was there.
I was alone, in the church. It wasn't my family outside, i looked and they weren't talking.
They were crying. Who was laughing? I will never know.

I hve had some ghost-like experiences, but i do not have any proof that they are real.
