To expound on one of the previous answers, yes the Philippines' top export is manpower. A big chunk of this is in the 'caring' industry.. like nannies, caregivers, nurses, and doctors. Very suitable given the Filipinos' caring nature.

As for other exports:

San Miguel Beer - enjoyed in many parts of Asia (including Indonesia & Hong Kong) and the US

Cebu Dried Mangos

Bench (Clothing) - with dozens of branches all over the world including China (Shanghai, Xiamen, Chongging, Hangzhou), Middle East (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Qatar), Guam, California

Chow King (Food) - don't know about the other branches but there's definitely 3 branches in Jakarta, Indonesia

Jollibee (Food) - with branches in Brunei and the US

Kamiseta (Clothing) - with branches in Malaysia, Indonesia, Guam, Bahrain, UAE

Goldilocks (Food) - dozens of branches in the US

Philippine Airlines flies to many destinations

Cebu Pacific is now an international budget airline

The French Crepe Company is a Filipino-owned crepe station in California.

Cendrillon Resto & Merienda is located at 45 Mercer St. in the SoHo section of Manhattan, New York. It's owned by Filipinos.

The RPG game Anito is Philippine-made.

SM Malls has branches in China.

Metrobank has branches in China (Shanghai & Beijing), Korea (Pusan), New York, Guam, Japan (Tokyo & Osaka).

Max's of Manila (locally known as Max's Fried Chicken) has 5 branches in the US, including California and Hawaii.

The list goes on and on.

I'm proud to be Filipino.

I agree with Michiko, San Miguel Beer is probably the biggest Philippine brand...which is paradoxically unrecognized as Filipino in many foreign countries. I've worked with at least 3 Europeans who recognized the San Miguel Beer brand (considered a premium beer in some countries) but had automatically assumed that it was a Spanish brand because its name sounded Spanish.
I hear Bench (clothing) is getting pretty big in China and the Middle East.

San Miguel Beer ---> not only in Asia but also in Europe.

Same brand. Same beer. But different label (depends which language, of course!)

I'll try to get some miniature collectables next time I travel.

To: Peej -->Whenever I travel I correct them that San Mig is definitely a product of the Phils. Cheers! :)

There is not much exported from Philippines other than human beings and the labor they provide. PI is probably one of the biggest violators of human rights if you dare to investigate. Consider the obscene wealth of a few profiteers who exploit filipino people on a mass scale every day. They too are filipinos, not foreigners.
