This is the best and most gentle way to wash your head band, this is the way I do mine, take a two tablespoons of Baby shampoo and put in a sink half full of water or less water than that if you want, soak for a few minutes then squeeze the suds through the band then rinse in cold water then hang to dry away from sunlight. I would wash it by hand with clothes washing detergent. I have a big bowl (Plastic punch bowl) that I use to wash all my little loads of hand washables and I just put water and detergent in my bowl and wash it let it soak and then fill with rinse water with a touch of fabric softener let it sit in that for a bit and then rinse out under running water.

Hon just put it in the sink with some dish soap and wash it in cool water if it is color.If it's white then warm water.Good luck

Put it in a mesh lingerie bag and throw it in the washing machine with like colors. Lay it flat or hang to dry.
