I had been to Afghanistan in 2005 - I worked for the German Red Cross and the German military over there. As you know, Germany has a few thousands troops in Afghanistan (but not in Iraq).

No I wouldn't really. It's a dry country with not much to do. All the more reason to appreciate what our troops are doing over there.
