Sorry, I just saw on BBC news that the ingredients found in the flat were chappti flour and hydrogen peroxide. I'm not Indian, I don't dye my hair. It was just a question.
Oh and I'm not a **** either. Time we got some British English censorship on this site!

That should read 'in the flat of a suspected terrorist'.

The chemical that is used to create a bomb is acetone peroxide (acetone is nail varnish remover and hydrogen peroxide is used as hair bleach or a disinfectant) so technically if you have these chemicals in your house which most of us do we can be arrested for having the precursors for bomb making. It does not make you a terrorist but could make you a suspected terrorist and be enough reason these days to arrest you

no, but the question does make you appear rather dim.the fact is, the people in question were found to have vast amounts of these substances, all of which can be used to make bombs.the fact that the accused are Muslim and that the flour was Chapatti flour makes no difference. they were under surveillence and gave enough reason to be arrested. at the end of the day, would you prefer a society where preventative measures are taken to stop the threat of terrorism before any more die, or would you like the nation to be one that is so scared of offending cultures, that it allows suspicious behaviour to continue at the cost of innocent people. if you are not a terrorist, then you have no need to be offended by people who are trying to make this country a safer place to live. for all the cultures that live here.

Can you advise the recipe for chapattis please, then I can make better comment. A person who bleaches hair and makes chapattis is not necessarily a terrorist, but some may be.
