I was looking into some of those sites where you pay 40 bucks for unlimited downloads. The one I am interested in is www.myipodownloads.com. I just don't see though how it can be legal. 40 dollars for unlimited music and movies seems a bit to good to be true. I'd be afraid I'll pay the 40 but then the site will shut down in a month. Any thoughts on this?

It is likely a program like BearShare, I pay $40 a year for unlimmited downloads, what they wont tell you, is now, atleast with BearShare, the files you download are coded so that they cannot be burned or synced. Meaning that you will only be able to listen to them on your computer, not burn them to a CD or sync them to an MP3 device.

I say that if you fear in a month that it will close down that is a good enough reason to not pay the $40. I know most people hate it but I will stick with iTunes to buy my music when I don't buy from a local record shop. I know people that were on the monthly pay sites and later found out that when you stopped paying the monthly fee then you lost the music you purchased.

Well if it is one time payment of 40 dollars then you are probably paying for the software download. It is probably like a limewire plus or something. I wouldnt do it. There isnt much of a legal foot that it has. If it is forty bucks a month it is legal but you dont own the music you are renting it.

I was browsing for music search engine and I found mykazaagold and I read about it and thought of giving it a try. Since I have downloaded the software I never stop downloading songs. I am a member since early 2006 and I think you should give it a try go to http://www.mykazaagold.com and signup today it won’t cost much. It is just one time fee and you would never have to pay again. And above all it is 100% virus free and no adware or spyware threats also. Highly recommended.

i'm surprised at how many human beings think of Limewire is legal! it is not! once you acquire each and all the music/video clips for loose, opportunities are high its a criminal offense. besides, i might say bypass with iTunes. Its no longer a subscription provider, you pay according to music, yet i myself like it. previously i offered an iPod I used Napster to bypass. I cherished it, yet there replaced into an added value to burn CDs.

Check out Yahoo Music Unlimited. The way that one is structured is that you pay annually, and that makes it legal.
