This question gets asked in so many ways (including with correct spelling) that it is worth a "long answer".

First, definition: The word "alien" in this context probably means: living beings from other planets, around other stars, maybe in other galaxies.

Second, hidden meaning: Usually, the real question is meant to be one of the following:
Do they exist?
Will they hurt us?
Are they already here?
Do you believe in them?
...

And, most of the time, the only correct answer is "We don't know", except, of course for the last one, where every person's belief may be different and usually not based on logic.

Do they exist? Many people have been trying to find them for nearly two centuries now (especially after the work of Camille Flammarion and Percival Lowell, two famous astronomers who really believed that the universe was populated by many different types of living beings). If they exist, they either have been hiding very well or they are so few and far between that the probability of finding them is extremely small.

Will they hurt us? Who knows? The predominant view among people seriously studying such things is that: if they have developed enough intelligence to contact us or travel here, then it probably means that they have avoided becoming destroyers of themselves and others. So, a correct answer could be: They would probably not hurt us.

However, we have apparently not grown out of our 'need' to hurt others and some of us still regard discrimination, fear, anger and distrust as "positive" national traits.
So, if they were to show up in the near future, we'd probably shoot first, shoot again, shoot until there is only dust left and then ask questions.

Maybe they know that and are staying away.

And that is their way to hurt us... Leave us in our cesspool of relative savagery and ignorance.

Which provides answers to:

Are they already here? (and the corollary: is there a cover-up?). If they had travelled so far, I think that they would have tried to make it known, if only to boast about their ability to travel so far. Except, of course, if they have read the previous paragraphs: maybe they saw and decided to remain discreet.

As for a cover up. I suspect that they would be better at cover ups than any of our governments...

Do you believe...? It appears that the human race always feel the need to believe that there is something else than our futile existence.

I believe in probabilities and possibilities.

Is there any reason that aliens cannot exist? No.
Therefore, given the size of the universe, the probability that "we are not alone" is not zero. There may be aliens out there but we have not found them yet. It appears, also, that they have not found us or, if they did, they are leaving us alone until we grow up.

Please concern yourself with third grade spelling for a while before you start worrying about such matters as the existence of aliens. Please learn to spell first, okay?

If it will put your mind at rest, there is a strong likelihood that life, and even intelligent life, exists on Some planets in other solar systems. It is also extremely unlikely that we will ever meet them, as the are too far away to be able to come here (or vice versa) in any workable time frame.

I believe that you must be living proof of that. In a three word question, you managed to mis-spell two of those words. If I were you, the existence of aliens would not be my primary concern. I would be looking for a library and a tutor.

Holy cow, waht country are you from? You should realyl use spell-check in the future, that is the worst spelling of exist I have ever seen.

Aliens exist with absolutely no doubt in my mind whatsoever. have they ever visited us? Absolutely not.

It's like asking if I think there is sand on beaches in Africa. I have never been there, but I know there is.
