Practical living. Yes.
Reintroducing the theories of Aristotle. I honestly don't know. That really is one to look up in the Wikipedia. (Go to your search engine, type in Wiki, it'll take you to the link, and the front page...).
Avoiding Roman domination. I don't think so. Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius was a stoic.

they were NOT concerned w/ aristotle's theories, nor w/ roman domination -- many, if not most, of them *were* romans
