I've been scrapbooking for a few years now and I can tell you from experience it is HIGHLY addictive. I started by going through all my pictures and sorting them by event (birthdays, holidays etc) and other moments I wanted to remember. I put them in baggies and labeled them by event and date. Then you can choose a set of pictures to work with and do 1 or 2 pages at a time whenever you have the time and you can take a few pics to the scrapbook store and buy just what you need to complete that page or pages. Good luck and HAVE FUN !

Oh I don't blame you! There is SO MUCH available for scrap bookers these days. If I were just beginning, I'd go to the Dollar Tree if you have one near you - they have a little scrapbook section, and it's nice because everything is $1 - and you can get some supplies and discover what you like without spending a lot of money in the beginning. Many craft stores have $1 racks also. You can print out your digital camera pictures at Wal-Mart or Walgreens for pennies, and I started off with lots of stickers, pretty scrapbooking paper to use as a background, a good glue stick, and die cut frames. You could get pretty much all your supplies for under $15 to start, and then when you really get going, you'll probably want to go back to the store and spend a fortune! Lol* Good luck! :)

I would suggest starting with a kit that comes with the book, glue, pages and a few embellishments, get your feet wet with some simple pages first. THEN go all out with her stuff, and why not get her involved. It is highly addictive, though - once you get started, it seems to snowball, and you want to scrapbook everything (that's how it is with ME anyway...). Most importantly, HAVE FUN - your local scrapbook store probably has a scrap night where you can meet folks who also scrapbook, or it may be called a crop night. One great idea is to find a friend who is either already doing it, or would like to get started doing it so that you can swap ideas and TOOLS!!! Some of this can get quite expensive, so anything you can borrow or trade for - only helps. It really is a great way to show off your creative side, and to preserve memories.

Just get a few basic scrapbook supplies. Paper, scissors, stickers, etc. People at scrap booking stores are always willing to help.
Maybe you should look at your pictures and just get stuff to match those pictures. Watch that scrap booking show on PBS, I've seen it a few times and it has some helpful hints.
Also look at some examples of scrapbooks, to get ideas.
I know that they also have these new dealies that are scrapbooks, they come with stickers, and other embellishments, and all you have to do is buy one, say for camping, and you have all the stuff for a camping scrapbook.
Good luck!

We shop all the rinse water from washing greens to water the backyard with and positioned a good number of mulch around the plant life to maintain moisture. additionally we take shorter showers, and whilst brushing our tooth we continuously be optimistic to coach off the water till time to rinse! Our easy bulbs are the potential efficient type and so are our washer and dryer. Now that that's summer season, we are ingesting extra chilly ingredients and that saves a gaggle on electricity for cooking and would not warmth up the abode! to boot uncooked greens and culmination have extra supplementations!

I know you've got millions of little pictures just laying around in boxes like me, right? Go to wallmart and get a kit for $20. That's a small start, and then you can work your way up to the big multi-layered ones. Take it one step at a time.
