I have been tracking my cycle for about 7 months now. ihave a pretty consistent 24 day cycle, I was supposed to start my flow on saturday (3/10) should i consider it late today? I did have a dr appointment on thursday and did a pregnancy test then, which was negative. should i wait a couple days or test again? i have been ttc and also have been under a lot of stress which could make it late.

I always think you should wait 7 days to test, just to give some time for a late period to come. Others think you should test right away. That's really your call on how you feel. I think a 7 day wait is more accurate.

Yeah, you're late, but not by much. I was also due to start on 3-10, no period yet (fingers crossed), but had a negative pg test result on Saturday. May still be too early to tell. We are also ttc, and my hubby will be out of town on the ovulation days for the next 2 months, so if it didn't happen this month, then it will be at least 3 months before there's a chance. :(

I was due for my period on 3/9. Hubby and I are also trying for a baby. The best advice I can give you is to wait it out. With my daughter, it took 2 weeks after my period was due for a positive result to show on an HPT. With some women, even if you are pregnant, the hormone levels are too low to show within the first week or 2 of being late. I took one HPT so far and it was negative, but I am having all of the PMS symptoms and no period. If my period is still a no-show by this weekend I'm going to test again.

Was your test at the dr.s blood or urine? If it was a blood test I'd go by that ruling, but if it was a urine test it was probably too soon to tell.

I would say that one-two days should be consider late.
I would test now. I tested 7 days before my period was due and the test was positive when i was pregnant with my son.

I was late this last past month though by 2 days and i ran out to buy a test which was negative then started my period 3 hours later.
Good luck

10 days is the maximum your period will get late from the stipulated date. If they don't come within 10 days, you might be pregnant or have a hormonal disorder.

i would wait until you are five days late thats when the HCG level would be higher......have you tried an ovulation kit? if not try one and see if that helps......if not give it time.......just relax and it will happen sooner or later if it takes longer then a year maybe you should think about seeing a fertility Dr good luck
