First let me say I wore the Nuva Ring about this time last year for a while and it went fine, then I went off of it completely and started the pill last June. Jan. this year I ran out of the pill and didn't get it re-filled. I decided to go back on the ring, I called my doc and she called in the ring to my pharmacist (me thinking I remembered how to wear it) I had started my period Feb. 8 and it ended on the 11th so I put in the ring on Feb. 12 and I was thinking I should wear it until I start again but I haven't yet. I was scheduled to start Mar. 8. I am worried I did it wrong. Should I have only wore it for 3 weeks, took it out for a week regardless if I started yet or not? I am so confused, I have been having sex this entire time (no extra method) I been searching Nuva Ring websites but I can't find anything. Help please. What do I do now and will I be protected? Thanks.

yes you wear it for three weeks and then take it out for a week, it could be hormones causing you to not have your period yet, switching BC can definintly do that to you.

it's like any other birth control, you start you period when you take it out. you only wera the ring for 33 weeks and leave it out for one. you def messed up but in the directions there should be something on what to do if that happened so i would read them TAKING OUT THE RING IS WHAT BRINGS ON YOUR PERIOD JUST LIKE WHEN YOU STOP THE PILL OR TAKE THE SUGAR PILLS YOUR PERIOD COMES
