U can use it on direct current, but its advisable to use most of ur battery, the more u use ur battery the more becomes the life of battery.

Do you mean 'can I use my laptop while it's plugged into the mains and charging up'? The answer is yes. It might slow down the charging, but it will do both. Or it should do both unless your laptop is faulty.
If you don't mean what I rephrased your question to, please explain more fully.

You can do both...doesn't matter...either use ac or dc.....and most newer laptop batterys are lith ion and don't have memory problems like older Nicad or such!
