I recently watched Brokeback Mountain, and as a non-US citizen I'm curious. Are all people in Texas who wear cowboy hats homosexual? like in the film.

No! I live near Mexico (Arizona) and the reason why so many wear those hats is due to the intense sunshine and as a fashion/cultural statement. Everyone wears those here esp. Mexicans. If not, they wear baseball hats. It is nearly impossible to go without sunglasses and/or hats here. The only people I have seen that can are Native Americans.

I cannot speak for other States, but I whole-heartily agree that 99% of big-hat wearers in Texas are homosexual. I believe this to be true cos all the ones I have met, are! Perhaps I have not met enough to make this assumption but have met over 300, the stats. are startling.

NO, it surprised me about that film ( i've never watched it, and don't plan on watching it) but cowboys are rarely gay. Cowboys are MEN not pansies.
