Something different but not tacky. And easy to come by or make.

Well, a guy down the street has made a box out of a beer keg...but that is tacky... Another family has one built into a stone wall type structure. People tend to destroy mailboxes around here whether it be a hoodlem or a snow plow.. Either way a stone or brick structure may help protect ti from the elements a little? How bout a Pelican, or an animal with a big mouth..? Ha maybe that is a bit silly?

I bought an antique wooden soda crate with a hinged cover, varnished it, painted the cover white and stenciled our name and some dragonflies on it.. Then I nailed it to our porch. Petty and it even holds packages.
