... and I have started to go to the library in town and look up books about carrers as a webmaster and I found books on making websites so that I can advance my knowledge and skill of HTML in website building to also javascript.

Why I am saying this is to also ask for the most recent info about how much I would get paid, what I need to learn, what I should be learning right now, the languages I need, classes ect. and that sort of stuff. Most of the books that I got are from 1999ish-2006. I would like to have the most recent info so I can start right now and be able to get a heads start in collage.

And if you know anyone that is a webmaster personally or if you are a webmaster or you are a webmaster or you deal with HTML in websites or something computer related let me know and I'll ask you, or the person questions if I can about the job, how much fun is it.

I've been a webmaster, but it was never a professional title. My employers had me working on the internal websites because I had the knowledge and experience from maintaining a fansite for my favorite band.
I can tell you this...you need a working knowledge of HTML, XML, javascript, and CSS. There are probably other languages used also, but I'm not familiar with them.
The fansite I mentioned above has been gone for a little over 7 years now. I didn't use XML, CSS, or javascript since I never formally learned these languages. In fact I don't think XML existed back then. If it did it was in its infancy.
I don't know what the typical pay is for a webmaster. You can get an idea of pay range if you look it up on Salary.com http://www.salary.com You can also check the job listings on Monster.com and Yahoo! HotJobs, sometimes salary ranges are listed.
I enjoyed creating/maintaining websites, especially the graphics because it allowed me to let my rather artistic imagination run wild. If you want to find out how much fun it is for yourself, create and maintain your own personal website. At the same time you will also be learning the languages you will need to know later on.
I learned my first steps in website construction from the World Wide Web Consortium. http://www.w3.org and W3 Schools http://www.w3schools.com

As a career, few people are just webmasters. Usually, it is a person from the computer staff chosen to occasionally work on the website in addition to other responsibilities.
The current software you might look at is ASP.Net and Visual Studio.Net. This would begin to prepare you for a job as a programmer, which it appears you might enjoy.
