Unless you've surveyed the masses, what do you base this presumption upon?
And Hermes is not an incarnate soul

I have never even considered either angels or demons as being part of the spirit world. I know there are other energy forms or entities but I think angels and demons are our own creation.

It is full of angels and demons and souls and the God head. Why do you think there is any more? The one who created it all tells us what he did, you just need to read it.

Probably because they believe that these othere elements have and do nothing of consequence to them.
i.e. bad spirits frighten them, good spirits only visit and have messages for them, the others don't offer anything.

I for one do not assume there is a spirit world at all! What objective evidence can you produce?
