Gears of War has top of the line graphics especially in HD. The cover system implemented in the game is amazing and the action is pumped the whole time. The only downside to it is that the single player is very short although can be replayed multiple times with three different difficulties. However the multiplayer is very addicting. There are three types of multiplayer although they all center around one thing, team death match. If you like that as much as I do, then you'll fall in love with it and never stop playing. In my opinion the game is amazing and worth every penny. If you do buy it I'll teach you the ropes, gamertag= floackle.

The game was great. The single player was short though. Playing with a friend on co op is great. Me and my buddy beat the game on all the difficulty levels and had fun doing it each time. On multiplayer there is some strategy to it. you can't just run ahead of your teammates...you will be killed quickly. Its all about communication and sticking togother. The 4 on 4 is fun cause you don't have to wait long for lots of ppl to jump in. This game is good. Rainbow Six is good as well, lots more strategy there and its a good pick up if you dig that son.

It's pretty darn good. The best part of it, though, is the pvp on xbox live. The storyline in the game itself is mediocre at best... and the gameplay up to insane is pretty easy ( perhaps with the exception of RAAM on Hardcore) But still, I think GoW is one of those must-have games for 360 ... because the combat system is pretty awesome and the online play is really fun.

Gears is sick. The campaign is easy(except insane) and the multiplayer is great the 4 in 4 really works for this taactical shooter.

I recommend getting it used or possibly renting it. The graphics are superb, the action top-shelf and the music awesome. Drawbacks? The campaign is VERY short. And the online multiplayer I personally don't like: it's only 4v4 - there's only slayer, and once you die, you're dead til the end of the round, no respawning, etc.
It's a good game, but needs work.

On gamespot it has a 9.6 out of 10.
It is the #1 game out there, maybe until Halo 3 comes out.
GOW is worth it.

I thought it was overrated; I'd recommend Rainbow Six: Vegas if you only have the money for one game.
