What do you mean by "against" Iranians?

On a purely informational basis, yes, it documents the Battle of Thermopylae which involved the Persians (modern Iranians) and the Spartans (modern Greeks).

If you're asking "is this movie anti-Iranian propaganda?" then the answer is absolutely not.

Persians (Iran) and Greeks are among the first civilized/empires that existed in the world that have changed the course of the world history for better or worse. They always had dispute over power and control of the region. So it is normal to see they have gone through the wars many times. But, I did not like the way Hollywood compare Persians to wild and killing machines that just want to concur. Oh well, I guess history is up for sale as it always has been. And what is up with this huge naked black guy who played the Persian king; that is absolutely unreal to whom Persians were.

Cheers,

Ali

"There has been rivalry between kingdoms of Mesopotamia (the Tigris-Euphrates valley, modern Iraq) and the rugged highlands to the East (modern Persia or Iran) since the beginning of recorded history in Sumer.
The origins of the Iran-Iraq war of 1980–1988 go back to the question of sovereignty over the resource-rich province of Khuzestan. Khuzestan was home to the Elamite Empire, an independent, non-Semitic, and non-Indo-European-speaking kingdom, whose capital was Susa and the territory of which spanned almost exclusively in what is now Iran.
Khuzestan has been attacked and occupied by various kingdoms of Mesopotamia (and vice versa) many times.

The dawn of recorded history opens with the earliest historical ruler who can be archaeologically attested, Enmebaragesi of Kish, subduing Elam (ca. 2650 BC), first of several Sumerian potentates to do so. Elam was finally able to return the favor in 2004 BC when they sacked the city of Ur for the first time, bringing the predominant 3rd dynasty of Ur to an end"
"Between 1555 and 1918, Persia and the Ottoman empire signed no fewer than 18 treaties delineating their disputed borders."

Looks like they don't plan to settle this thing in our lifetime either huh?"

The movie "Persians" are nothing like the actual civilization. In this movie Xerxes is portrayed as a 10-foot tall African Giant. Survivng sculptures of Xerxes shows someone quite different looking.
But the movie (I must admit is quite enjoyable) is based on a comic book and not history.

a action picture CAN merely be a action picture, you recognize. to boot, the Iranians could desire to be on the verge of value-effective crumple, merely like the Soviet Union did. the US can defeat the Iranians and not utilising a shot being fired.

It's about history. People that long ago were not like we are today. They didn't have technology. They fought more wildly. Our troops have rules to follow. Any movie about wars from 1000 yrs ago or more will be more harsh and depict man as beastly. Doesn't make them uncivilized, they just did what they could with what they had.
