Sachin should play in lower order. If he plays in the opening and fails, than pressure on other players will come .All other will be more cautious and by doing so run rate will suffer.
Over cautiousness may result in losing one or two more wickets. whereas if he plays in lower order he and his experience may prove to be useful at the end when run a ball type situation always comes in one day cricket. He can become an instrument for India's win. Also paying so can earn some more credits for Sachin. He is good player and that is why he should be able to play in any position,if it is in the India's advantage.

Age is catching up, but I think he will score well, averaging around 40(pitches are not suitable or batting always in the Carribean). Ganguly should be his opening partner, not the inconsistent Shewag or talented but inexperienced Uthappa.

I think he should make a century but if he doesent does that so he should make a half-century but if he doesent does that also he almost will make a quarter-century.
But then also he is not the opening in the most matches of the
World Cup.
