Excellent restaurants in Dublin at the high end are Gilbauds at the Merrion Hotel, upper mid you'll find DAX on Pembroke Street hard to beat, mid range Diep Le Shaker (Thai restaurant). For excellent casual food tapas style at a great price The Market Bar is the place to go. Saagar is an excellent Indian on Harcourt Street and the best Pizza restaurant is Millers on Baggot Street.

La Stampa is great fresh mid price food, good atmosphere and great location for parking and going on for a night out.
Bewleys cafe on Grafton St is as central as you'll get and cheap and cheerful for lunch.
Market Bar for snacky food on the go. Enjoy!

www.menupages.ie is a good source for looking at menus. We recently ate at the cafe in Hotel Issac's, where I had the most amazing sandwich - turkey, brie, and cranberry. Yum.
