Hi Please suggest.

I want to purchase Dual core 2.8 but again confused as there are two Options. Is there any significance difference between these two.
2.8 Ghz (LGA 775)/800/1X2/820
2.8 Ghz (LGA 775)/800/2X2/915

motherbard Intel DG965RY

RAM 512MB + 512MB 400 MZ.

As I heard because of speed mismatch among three devices , we can not get complete benifits.

Is 400mhz RAM speed is enough for Processor / Motherboard ?

looking at the mobo specs:

the slowest ram you should put is
DDR2 533 MHz DIMMs

don't chance the money on trying 400, get 533

the 1x2 in the first processor would imply that the total 2mb L2cache is shared by both processors, the 2x2 on the second implys a total of 4mb L2 cache, with 2 for each

as for the 820/915, i don't know, can't find the 915 processor
