"what harm is pot?"
Q1:: what harm would pot/marijuana really cause if it were legalized?
Q2:: would these be problems more easily dealt with than the current problems we have with marijuana?

1. No more...in fact LESS than alcohol is in my opinion. Ever see anyone get in a brawl after smoking pot? Me either.

2. Yes, all they'd have to do is put the same restrictions on it as there are for alcohol...no driving under the influence, etc. It'll free up some jail space for people who actually need to be there vs. the poor Joe who just wanted to chill out after a hard day of work as well.

Ok, People say that there is no harm in it, but I think there is. My exhusbands friends smoked pot constantly. They would wake and bake, get a little in between classes, go home and get stoned for lunch, sneak a little more in between classes, and then go home and do it all evening until they finally fell asleep. The results were them having lower grades than before they smoked pot, and their speech reflexes were slower.

I think if it were legalized, it might actually help take the "coolness" out of smoking it. I'm sure that quite a few people smoke pot just as a rebellious phase. And I guess that answered both questions at once.

Q1. If it was legal it would result in a tax base instead of black market.
Q2. I believe pot is a recreational drug. Most crime's are associated with harder drugs like cocaine and meth.

Pot is not addictive, other harder chemical dependencies are, with the later drugs, people will find anyway they can to fiance a habit.

The only two problems I see with pot is that it can give you lung cancer. The other issue is that like alcohol we will still have people driving under the influence which occurs already.

To address your second question, yes, take all of the money that the DEA now spends on trying to catch these "drug dealers" and put the money towards something useful like education.

i don't believe there is any harm in smoking a joint. i think it is better than anything else you can take. it is all natural as long as you know the person you r getting it from.(make sure cause some people add chemicals to it) so as long as it is pure stuff than some times i think it is better than prescription drugs like ones for nerve prescription or depression. and at least if it was legalized than the sources it came from world be more controlled and people wouldn't be able to add stuff to it and you would be more sure it was OK

I would agree only if people would do it once and a while but they don't. The ones I know that do it think that it doesn’t affect them and I have to say otherwise that they act like idiots, a box of rocks acts better than they do because the box of rocks doesn’t speak.

it would make some people lose their jobs and not want to work anymore

smoking it once in awhile is not a big deal really

like trying it a few times in college

its true that having it be illegal makes criminals rich sometimes

also if people smoke tons of it , it DOES mess them up in subtle ways, makes it hard to get along with people
