By bus.. come to Belgaum and then to Goa. This is the shortest route you will have. By the way road between Belgaum and Goa (about 50 km patch) is not in good condition because of heavy truck traffic.

of course by train you can logon to http://www.indianrail.gov.in/ and get the information and reservation too
