Listen to what he has to say, and then dump him.

Angel, all of us could give you advice, but it would be hard to accept it because the heart always over-rules logic. But the correct thing to do is to end the discussion immediately and in a calm matter and tell him that you love him but that it is obvious that he needs some time to himself for awhile to decide what he wants. If you do love him, I think he's worth it. Everyone else will tell you to dump him, but that's because most of our community is made up of whores who drop relationships like a hot potato over the most petty things. If you love him, accept his break-up for now, and if you really want to still be with him, let him go and take a break, and if he comes back it will be a pleasant gift. There's an old saying, and though it is very cliche it is also true: If you love someone, let them go; if they don't return, they didn't belong to you. You're young guys. Let him work out his problems and if you still want him if he comes back, congrats to you both.

I would not take him back - at least not initially anyways. Especially if s/he just ups and leaves me, and then (on a whim) just wants to take me back as if I’m going to come running like some mindless thing that s/he can claim or trash at his or will. I have more respect for myself than that. At least by dismissing him or her as they did you and not letting him or her have you back, they will feel the pain of having someone they love (or at least like) not reciprocate or treat them with such a nonchalant attitude.

I am not gay, but the same theory applies to guys who like guys, girls who like guys, guys who like girls who like guys, girls who like girls, or whatever. So I say to you this, if you want him back (assuming it is a him) then everyone's entitled to one freebie- but just tease him and make him wait... that'll show him and make him think before he just tries to leave you next time. Cheers!

Once an ex always an ex.

Tell him to go find another yo-yo to play with because you won't be kept on a string anymore.

i see it like this

when somebody is messing with you

if they hurt you once its maybe their fault

if they hurt you twice its at least half your own fault

so be slow to love and trust, and be slow to erode it too

half hugs, harsh uncaring words, emotional torture, throwing away what has been been built, intentionally hurting with words, etc.

those things do not heal instantly or by themselves

takes time and effort to heal it back if ever I think
