I am undecided about global warming, but, in the grand scheme of things, it is a moot point anyway.
Cars cause air pollution. Air pollution can cause diseases ranging from asthma to cancer.
Dependence on foreign oil funds terrorists and weakens our power at the bargaining table.
Most forms of non-renewable energy pollute the land, and water that we breathe and drink to stay alive.
Without even considering the whole GW debate, the damage we are doing to ourselves and our environment is irreversible.
I am trying to do my part, not through "carbon offsets" like some (Mr. inconvenient Truth himself), but by actual lifestyle changes. Drive less, walk more. Reduce, reuse, recycle. Cut consumption. Energy star appliances, CFL bulbs, biodegradable products, no styrofoam, local produce, etc.

The high cost of energy will never affect a wealthy person like Pat Sajack. But his reasoning, at least as applied to the real life behavior of human beings is missing a few letters.
Few people can change all of their wasteful or bad habits; trying to do so just sets a person up for failure. If enough individuals make a few changes, it will add up, just as when a lot of people each send a few dollars to a charity.
In the end, however, it's really up to industry to make the big changes, and it's an historic fact that industry won't cut back on emissions and pollutants on its own.

Barbra Streisand's , eclectic bill top 35,000 yearly,
Al ,(would I lie) ,Gores is 30,000
Alec Baldwins topped 18,000 last year,
Kayne West drives a Hummer and a Bentley has a 20,000 sq ft. home.
George Sorose is one of the largest oil men in business and wanted to run a pipeline through Afghanistan before the war and was in talks with the Taliban.
the president of PETA uses insulin that comes from dead dogs every day.PETA puts thousands of animals down every year and has been held liable for multiple animal abuses every year.
Micheal ( the unshowered) Moore and fat duppa Rosie O'Donnell have gun carrying body guards.ect. ect. ect.
All fly around using more fuel in one day than a family home in a year.
See a pattern, they don't even believe their own propaganda or they just don't give a crud about any one but them selves.
Typical libs. Hypocritical, two faced phonies with no actual standards they are willing to stand by.
It takes big nads to disagree with the (open minded ?) Hollywood elite. Unlike them, he's not a hypocrite.

Quite frankly, I don't care if Gore and the rest of the right drive hummers, live in mansions or fly in private aircraft....Your obsession with trying to prove that these people are hypocritical is distracting from the real discussion of GW. And by the way, I hope that you are learning about Global Warming from other souces than Burt....

I'd like to buy a vowel. If you're quoting the game show host, this is desperation. But, sure people should take drastic action, but it takes all of us--not just people living on the coast.

I do not regard Pat Sajak as any kind of expert on anything. This statement is 100% pure rationalization.

The "Rich Global Warmers", like Al Gore & other hypocrites, never alter their rich life style.
But...... they want us common people to alter ours.
That's just the way hypocrites do.
