When our faculty uses test item analysis, we want to see the following trends:

What percentage of students missed a particular question.

What incorrect answer choice was chosen most frequently.

What are possible areas of weakness in instruction or curriculum.

We also look for flaws or weaknesses in the question, but since the tests are state standardized tests, we cannot change the questions. However, we look for ways to prepare students for certain types of questions.
